Wednesday Morning Activity
Original, painted T-shirts have become increasingly popular. Students will learn about product design and then create their own T-shirt design. They will have dozens of stencils and stamps at their disposal as well as texture tools and brushes. They will learn about the different ways to correctly apply fabric paint and additives so that their T-shirt will last many trips through the washing machine!
No previous experience necessary. Students will be guided through every step of the process! Finished pieces may have to dry at home.
City Drawings in Perspective:
Have you ever wondered how comic book artists create those awesome cityscapes? In this 3 hour session, students will learn about one point perspective and how to create city scenes in different points of view. Then they will do a good copy of a city scape looking up towards the sky, adding a superhero or two if they wish! Their drawings will be inked in permanent marker and completed in watercolour. Younger students will have the opportunity to use water-based markers instead of watercolour if they prefer.
No previous experience necessary. Students will be guided through each step by the instructor. This activity has been prepared so that it can be simple enough for younger students to accomplish, however, older students will appreciate that they can make this drawing as detailed and challenging as they wish!
