March Art Daze Reminders

When attending our classes, we want your children to feel at home and we want you to feel confident that they are safe, comfortable and having fun!  Please review the following reminders to help us accomplish this goal:

Contacting Us:

If you need to contact Daniela Easter, please call or text 647-839-8001.  We prefer that you not leave us a voicemail but instead send a text for a faster reply. We will not be available by email during the classes and may not be able to listen to voicemail until after class. We ask that you do not call the gallery number.

 

Drop Off:

Please drop off your children at the workshop doors at the back of the gallery. The doors will open ten minutes before each session starts,

(8:50 am for the morning and 12:50 pm for the afternoon).

 

Pick Up:

Please pick up your children promptly at the end of your session. For students staying for the morning only, the session ends at 12:00 pm. For students staying for the entire day, the session ends at 4:00 pm.

Please pick up your children at the back of the gallery at the workshop.

 

Parking: Please be advised that the Rose Theatre does not allow parking behind our gallery although there is a loading zone. There is free underground parking for 1 hour at the Rose Theatre. Please be especially careful in this area as students will be crossing.

 

There is no parking before 9 am on the street.  There is, however, a loading zone in front of the gallery. Walk down Vivian Lane to the back of the gallery. 

 

Snacks and Lunches:

If attending a full day, please provide 2 nut-free snacks and a lunch for your child. If attending a single session, please provide 1 snack.

 

Due to allergy concerns, we do not provide food during the camp, however, we will have bottled water - please send a refillable container for your child. We do have a microwave and we would be happy to warm your child's meal if it comes in a microwavable container. If their meal needs to be refrigerated please tell your child to put it in the fridge and one of our volunteers will help them. If a child comes to class without a lunch, you will be contacted to bring them a lunch. Please pack appropriate cutlery. 

 

Shoes and Clothes:

Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting paint or ink on - we do get messy and our high-quality art materials do stain! Indoor, shoes can be left at the workshop for the 3 days.

 

Receipts:

Tax receipts are no longer provided by Progressive Art due to the elimination of the Children's Art Amount by the Government of Canada. Please check your email archive for the receipt you received when you registered.

 

Illness and Missed Classes:

If a student misses a class, there is no provision for a makeup class due to the nature of our activities. Please refer to our refund policies.
