Water marbling has been around for hundreds of years and is practiced in different forms in many different countries. In our camps we love experimenting with both Ebru (Turkish Water Marbling) and Suminagashi (Japanese Water Marbling). 


The following is a video of Ebru, which is traditionally painted on thickened size (water). This is a piece prepared on wood for my art show "Fluid Abstractions", however the process for printing on paper is similar as seen in the video that follows. Enjoy!
