A Visit to Glendale Public School!

Textured Bowls

Progressive Art was invited to Glendale Public School to work with the kindergarten classes. The five classes explored texture while making textured bowls with air dry modelling material.  They learned how to condition, flatten and roll their clay as well as used texture plates and tools. Then on a second visit, we learned how to mix colours and created our own colour wheel before painting our textured bowls in liquid watercolours.

We hope you enjoy the results!

A big thank you to Glendale Public School and the Parent's Council for making this art opportunity possible. A special thank you to Mrs.Stocks, Mrs. Geddes and their class for generously giving up their classroom for the day.
