Note: There is NO PARKING in the Rose Theatre aboveground parking lot directly behind the Beaux-Arts Brampton workshop. This is a loading/drop off zone only. You may be ticketed or towed at your own expense.
Drop Off/ Pick up:
Please use the back Workshop doors to come to enter and exit the class. The workshop doors open 5 minutes before the start of each class. Please do not drop off your child before this time or leave them unattended in the gallery.
For their safety, students are not allowed to leave the classroom until their parents have come to pick them up. The gallery is often closed during our classes. We appreciate your consideration in this matter of their safety. Please be prompt in picking up your child as there is a class immediately following their class.
What materials does my child need to bring to class?
In addition to the provided materials, students should bring with them a sketchbook and if they have one, a pencil case that can be left at the workshop. Parents are welcome to provide these items themselves or if they prefer, they can purchase a Standard Materials Package. Sketchbooks are required for the second class. Sketchbooks will be for sale for the first two classes.
Allergies and Health Concerns:
Please make sure that the instructor is up to date on any health concerns that your child may have. It is your responsibility to provide the instructor with up to date contact information in case of emergency.
Students are welcome to bring their own snacks. Due to allergy concerns, no food or beverages are provided at the workshop. In consideration of those with allergies, please do not bring snacks that contain peanuts.
What if my child misses a class?
There are no refunds for missed classes. If a student misses a class, there are no make-up classes available. As they are given the sketchbook assignments for the entire course on the first day, they are welcome to work ahead on these at home. As this is a progressive art course, students are encouraged to be in attendance for all the classes if possible.
What if a class is cancelled?
If the instructor cancels the class, it will be rescheduled or a substitute teacher will be provided. The students will not miss out on any of the scheduled instruction. As the weather can change very quickly, during the winter, class cancellations will be posted on the Home page of our website as soon as possible as well as on social media. If there is a storm, please check the website before leaving for class.
Last Day Art Show
On the last day of class, please join us 15 min early for pick up so that you can enjoy a slideshow of our class as well as have some time to see all the wonderful artwork that the class has produced. Please park in the underground parking or on the street so that you can take your time and relax.
If you are away on the last class or have forgotten items in the workshop, please contact us. If there are no other classes using the workshop, we will leave clothing hanging on the hooks in the cloak room. Items left for longer than 30 days without being claimed will be donated to a local charity or school program.
