Here are a few reminders for new and returning students:
Saturdays - 8 weeks
11:00 am – 12:00 pm or
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Parking: There is free underground parking at the Rose Theatre on Saturdays (Stay to your right as you enter the parking garage and use the Nelson St. Business area stairway exit). There is also paid on-street parking.
Note: There is NO PARKING in the Rose Theatre aboveground parking lot directly behind the Beaux-Arts Brampton workshop, although there is a loading zone. You may be ticketed or towed at your own expense if you park there.
Drop Off and Pick up: Please use the back Workshop doors to come to enter class. Please be prompt to pick up your child as there are other classes scheduled for the workshop.
What materials does my child need to bring to class?
All materials are provided. We encourage parents to set aside "painting clothes" that students wear each week, instead of a smock or large shirt (that most students refuse to wear past the first day). Any shirt with shorter sleeves works well.
Allergies and Health Concerns:
Please make sure that the instructor is up to date on any health concerns that your child may have. It is your responsibility to provide the instructor with up to date contact information in case of emergency.
Although students are welcome to bring a nut-free snack or drink, as the class is only 1 hour, we do not stop for a formal break. Each student can decide if they need a snack. No food or drink is provided at the workshop.
What if my child misses a class?
There are no refunds for missed classes.
What if a class is cancelled?
If the instructor cancels the class, it will be rescheduled or a substitute teacher will be provided. The students will not miss out on any of the scheduled instruction. As the weather can change very quickly, during the winter, class cancellations will be posted on the Home page of our website as soon as possible. If there is a storm, please check the website before leaving for class.
If you are away on the last class or have forgotten items in the workshop, please contact us. If there are no other classes using the workshop, we will leave clothing hanging on the hooks in the cloak room. Materials will be on the brown bookshelf near the door. Items left for longer than 30 days without being claimed will be donated to a local charity or school program.
