Daniela Easter is a self-taught artist, published illustrator and one of the founding members of the Beaux-Arts Brampton non-profit artists' centre. She is also a certified artist educator with the Royal Conservatory of Music, Learning Through the Arts Program. The Progressive Art for Progressive Kids program was designed from scratch by the artist to teach “little artists”. She has been teaching the Progressive Art program since the autumn of 2002.
Although creative all of her life, she started painting seriously in 1996 while living in South America. Shortly after returning to Canada, Daniela became a member of the Brampton Arts Council and through its H.A.C.E. initiative, became a founding member of Beaux-Arts Brampton Gallery, Studios and Workshop. She served on the Board of Directors as Membership Chairperson from October 2001 through May 2004 and continues to volunteer her time there on a weekly basis. In May of 2002, she opened her studio and began showing her work publicly. In 2006 she illustrated "Emma's Jungle Adventure" with Giantbeaver Publications and author Mary Morsill, a children's picture book for which she received the 2006 Arts Acclaim Award from the City of Brampton.
Daniela enjoys painting realistic portraits in oil, flowers in watercolour and textured abstracts in acrylic. Her paintings and commissions are in private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States, Nigeria and Venezuela. Her greatest works of art however, are her sons Michael and Zachary, both works in progress.
