Progressive Art is a commercial, instructional visual arts program for students ages 5-18. Our office is located at the Beaux-Arts Brampton Gallery on the upper level however, we rent the classroom at the back of the gallery for our courses. We have been in operation since 2002. Daniela Easter (that's me!) is the Program Director and owner of the program. She is a self-taught, professional artist and certified Art Educator. Daniela does not work for the gallery, but as a founding member of the Beaux-Arts Brampton Non-Profit Artist Run Centre, she actively volunteers with the gallery.
At Progressive Art, our motto is "Practice Makes Progress!" We do not seek perfection. Perfection means that we have stopped learning. As artists, learning our art should be a lifelong endeavour. We try to encourage our students to progress weekly in their artistic skills by offering accurate and well thought out instruction and practical hands on experience.
We use very good quality (often professional) art materials and equipment. Every single class is taught with a lesson plan and follows an organized learning strategy. If you ever have any questions about what your child is learning, please feel free to ask us. We don’t wing it. We could…but we don’t.
We appreciate your business and thank you for making Progressive Art a part of your weekly routine.
